Birius-Cognac – Domaine de Birius

Domaine de Birius is located in the heart of the Cognac area in the Petite Champagne. Anne and Philippe Bouyer produce and market their direct sales Cognac, Pineau and local wines. These nectars are several medalists from vines conducted in viticulture.

Anne and Philippe BOUYER are winegrowers, cropping producers and distillers. They invite you for free to the Domaine, offer tastings, in a pleasant setting and shaded parking.

Their products won several prices and all of them are from a vineyard using an integrated agriculture, made the best care.

At each step, they are the focus of a strict quality control according to the food safety standards. (HACCP method)

The clear and aromatic eau-de-vie which emerges from the alambic only becomes “Cognac” at the end of a long process of ageing in oak casks in the windowless winestores. The substantial amount of alcohol which evaporates during this ageing is called the “Angel’s Part”.
